The program "Erasmus+" is the European program promoting cooperation in the education sphere. Nicholo-Ugreshskaya Theological Seminary and the University Ecclesiastical Academy of Thessaloniki joined "Erasmus+" project at the end of 2016. The program enables brotherly theological schools to conduct teacher and student exchange within several years.

A Philology Department English lecturer Vladislav Talalaev was the first to pay an official visit to the University Ecclesiastical Academy of Thessaloniki between January 9 and 18, 2017. This academic trip occured as a part of education staff exchange within "Erasmus+".

Despite the unprecedented frost and Russian-like snowfall, which seriously affected all the institutions of Thessaloniki, the meeting with the Academy's teachers and staff was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. On January, 16, our lecturer had a chance to meet the President of the Academy of Thessaloniki, Most Reverend George, Mitropolitan of Kitros, Katerini, and Platamon. This first-hand acquaintance with the teaching system of the Academy of Thessaloniki will prepare the students and teachers of Nicholo-Ugreshskaya Theological Seminary for the upcoming visit to the Academy of Thessaloniki in February, 2017.

During the trip our seminary's lecturer visited many temples and historical places in Thessaloniki. To spiritually enrich the errand, Vladislav made a pilgrimage to a world-famous monastery complex Meteora, known since 10th century thanks to its spectacular placement on tops of immense monolithic rock pillars.
