Every year seminary students from Nikolo – Ugreshskaya semin­ary commemorate the event of Beheading of St. John the Bapti­st. Following new tr­adition of the Russi­an Orthodox Church, we have additional event at the same tim­e. On this day we al­so mark the Day of Sobriety. Sobriety Day means rejection of heavy alchohol drin­king.

On September 11, 2017, seminarians had a lecture about the harm of this sinful habit. The lecture was conducted by deacon Ioann Klimenko, who has for many years been promoting sober way of life.
