On March 18-21, 2019, Archpriest Alexander Novopashin held a series of pastoral seminars with students of the Nikolo-Ugreshskaya theological seminary. During four evenings the guest of our seminary held pastoral talks with the students of the theological school. Mitrophoric Archpriest Alexander Novopashin is the head of the Missionary Department of the Novosibirsk diocese, rector of the Cathedral in the name of the Holy Prince Alexander Nevsky. On March 21, on the final evening, father Alexander raised many topics. Among them, he spoke about the problem of the appearance of "spiritual gurus" among the Orthodox parishes, citing the example of the infamous Vladimir Golovin, told about his report at the Christmas readings of 2018 at the section "Sectarian worldview: substitution of values and manipulation", also raised the problems of relations with Muslims, based on personal experience, and about the versatile missionary activity of the Novosibirsk diocese, especially in the field of sports.
